Review : Great speaker set when it works!
The Carnival series from Mordaunt-Short is the entry level speaker setup & is worth every penny for those of us who want a great sounding home theater on a budget if there is such a thing; and there is!! Have Carnival 2's on stands for fronts, this center & 5's for surrounds hooked to an Onkyo HT RC180 & movies & music come alive with these speakers. They're well made, look great & a bargain to own. Day after hooking up the speakers noticed a buzz in the center channel, took grill off & when I lightly press the cone/speaker on the left of this speaker the buzz goes away & there's clear sound sigh. Called Matt at Dedicated Audio & he was very helpful considering I didn't save the original box & they're sending me a replacement speaker so I can send this one back. Just one of those things I guess... Otherwise, love the style, case & finish & color. Meanwhile, this gets a 1 star & will change once I get to hear what a "good" speaker sounds like!
