Review : After 10 years of being a VP150 owner , the beast arrived.... Set your center to Large!
Guess Axiom finally understood their centers needed to make the step into the "elite" level. Their Vp150 was a good speaker for the money, but had it's issues of sealed cabinet for reduced enclosure size and odd tweeter driver,driver,driver, tweeter configuration which spaced the tweeters quite far apart. The Vp-160 solved all the issues, front porting for added bass, better driver configuration (similar to Paradigm C3)tweeter on center axis. Just make sure you have a large cabinet strong enough to support a 40+lb. 30 inch long center channel...
I think, explains the few grievance respecting VP160 Center Channel - Black Oak not fitting or leaking.
