I'm not an audio expert by any means. On the other hand, I know what I like to hear in sound reproduction and I think that I know what I am hearing when listening to equipment carrying different attributes in different environments. To tell you the truth, I was shaking in my boots when I bought the Axiom M80s. I had owned a pair of Kef 65.3s for ten years. They were the first "serious" pair of flop standers that I had owned.
In researching the new tower speaker field, I listened to several levels of Kef speaker. My question to myself was, "is there a Kef sound that I could use as a baseline in judging other speakers". Well, one thing that my listening to other Kefs did was to confirm to me that, as much as I love the product, I was ready for a new sound.
