I've had the Grotto i for a couple of days now after debating for months over what woofer to buy. Recommends 50 hours break in before any critical listening. Have not reached full break in yet, but wow what a great low end sound. Currently I have it paired with a Motion system, motion 12's, motion C, and motion FX's. The Motion system in itself has great bass and a lot of it.. but once I hooked up the Grotto i, I instantly heard why a dedicated sub is worth it. I chose the Grotto i sub over the Dynamo series because the quality of build, look, and overall sub quality seemed a lot better to me starting with the Grotto i. Plus the black wood veneer matches perfectly with the motions 12's and the motion C. Watched Pirates of the Carribean with the Grotto, and let me tell you those cannon balls and explosions sounded great, movie theater like.. and this was only on day 2 of break in, so I can't wait until fully broken in.
