Have lived with 2 of these speakers for a month. I wanted a separate two channel rig to play CD's separate from my home theater. I know many folks will want to use these speakers in that context, but this sort of set up will reveal any flaws inherent in the speakers themselves alone, not a complex of surrounds, subs and other factors.
Unpacking and delivery. OMG. These boxes are huge. The delivery guys are really struggling bringing them in the door. If you plan to move these yourself you had better be capable and have a strong back. The boxes are literally nine feet long and are at least 150 lbs each. Unpacking them required a bit of time. They are doble boxed, so there is a lot of speaker box remaining. The best strategy is to open the bottom end first, peel away the plastic from that, and them tip the box upright. Then, carefully split the seam on the sides, enabling you to unwrap them. Be careful as there is highly finished wood on the top and bottom, and the speaker...
