It's true they have been through several changes of ownership, but what counts is the engineering talent behind the brand, and that has been solid all the way through and through. Maybe their business and marketing strategy hasn't been the stuff Fortune 500 companies are made of, but one thing you know is that the sound has been always true high fidelity...true to the original source material...it's got the goods.
This Classic 3 bookshelf speaker is the successor to a long line of highly sought after bookshelf speakers. This is a true three way speaker which splits the sound spectrum into three parts, each handled by a tweeter, midrange, and woofer. There are pros and cons of doing a two way speaker and three way speaker, and engineers will argue one way or another, but in the end, it's how well the engineer is able to leverage the strengths of a two way or three way configuration which is the final...
