Review : One Big Woofer
I bought this as an accompaniment to the M-Audio BX5a 5-inch BiAmplified Studio Monitor Speakers I use on my Mac (video editing). I wasn't getting that low frequency feedback I desired so I decided this might do the trick.
Trick it did and then some.
Be warned...this woofer is huge! and heavy. It's about half the size of a small washing machine and weighs in around 35lbs.
The instructions say never to place a subwoofer on a table or stereo stand but to find a sweet spot on the floor. As placing the item on the floor would have presented a significant tripping hazard I placed it on Auralex SubDude Subwoofer Isolation Riser, on my desk, and it woofs just fine.
This is bad boy. It will shatter windows and peel paint -- It will rattle houses and wake neighbors. But, if you're looking for that full bass sound this is your instrument.
I think, explains the few grievance on M-Audio SBX10 240-Watt Professional Active Subwoofer not fitting or leaking.
