I purchased this sub woofer with a set of Audio Engine 5 satellite speakers. This unit will produce an array of low end sounds. The ONLY criticism I have is the need to adjust the bass output in order to match the volume of the satellite speakers. I have this on the floor under my workbench. So, you get the drift. I have found that the volume must be adjusted from the music source instead of the volume knob on the speakers. Otherwise, the unit is quality and the packaging was beyond 5 stars. Each of the 3 speakers I purchased was wrapped in a cotton draw-string bag. First time I have ever seen any manufacturer go to that length.
I believe, explains the few grievance respecting Audioengine AS8 Black 8-inch Powered Subwoofer not fitting or leaking.
