Simply put.... these speakers are totally AWESOME!!! I bought a pair of Definitive Technology Studio Monitor 65's at the beginning of March (2013) and I can't stop listening to them (or boasting about them). I've needed to upgrade my main front left & right speakers in my Home Theater / shared Stereo System for a long time, but it's been months before I was able to get my own pair of SM65's. As a whole, my HTS sounded great with nice highs, clean mids and good bass (but only because of my powered sub-woofer). But when I played music (in 2-channel stereo mode with NO subwoofer engaged), the 2 main front left & right channel speakers just couldn't reproduce the kind of deep bass response I wanted and needed. I couldn't bare the lack of no bass in 2-channel stereo anymore, so close to a year ago, I began researching for bookshelf speakers that would meet my ALL my requirements in sound, but also in size and within my budget. And I vowed to myself that I would not settle on just...
